Ash Wednesday Marks the
Beginning of the Lenten Season
The season of Lent is a 40-day period (not counting Sundays) in which we are asked to be personally reflective in an attempt to prepare ourselves for the celebration of Easter. This can be a very useful time to make a new or a renewed commitment to God. This year there will be no Ash Wednesday service. There are plans in the works for a Maundy Thursday dinner and a musical presentation of The Passion by the Chancel Choir that same evening, March 20. Easter will be on March 23rd.
