Donate Items to the Mission Trip!
On July 20, three members of our congregation will leave for a mission trip to the mountains of Ecuador. Jacque White and Dennis & Melissa Erfling will be returning to the Otavala region to the Quechua Indians. Work will be done in constructing a daycare center in one of the villages and Christian education and medical in three of the outlying villages. We are asking for assistance in taking personal care items to distribute in the medical clinics. The region is high in the mountains – windy and dusty. The skin of the villagers is always dried and reddened by the wind and sun. We would like to have lotion, chap stick, saline nasal spray, eye drops (natural tears), antibiotic ointment, hydrocortisone cream, toothbrushes and toothpaste. Please only small tubes/bottles (2 oz.) as the larger ones tend to break and leak in the trunks during travel. If you prefer, you may also donate by cash/check. If you are unable to help at this time, please remember the Quechua in your prayers. Dennis & Melissa Erfling
At the congregational meetings on June 1, the congregation approved the proposed slate of officers for the general board and a proposal to redirect capital funds for the steeple repair.
