In Now for Ecuador
On July 20, Jacque White and Dennis & Melissa Erfling will leave for another NACC mission trip to Ecuador. While they are there, they will be constructing a daycare center in one of the villages and helping with Christian education and medical needs in other villages. They would like to take personal care items to distribute in the medical clinics. The region is high in the mountains and windy and dusty and the villagers’ skin is always dry and red. Items needed are: lotion, chap stick, saline nasal spray, eye drops (natural tears), antibiotic ointment, hydrocortisone cream, tooth-brushes and toothpaste. Please bring only the small tubes or bottles (2 oz.). The larger ones break and leak in the trunks during travel. Cash or checks are also always appreciated and please remember the Quechua Indians in your prayers.

Join the NACC Bike Team!
Bike riders, join the NACC team for the MS 150. Scott Zimmerman is the captain and he has set
up a team on the MS site. I would love to see how many of us want to ride as a team and
possibly get shirts? Fund raise? Have fun? Weekend rides? Let Charrie Dixon know if you are
interested at
charried@sbcglobal.net. Thanks, CharrieMid-year giving statements are now available for you to pick up on the table in the hallway outside of the church office. If you have any questions, please contact June in the church office (869-9176).
HOSPITAL NOTE: When being admitted to the hospital, you can do two things that will help the ministers in calling on you. First, take a moment to phone the church office (869-9176) or have a friend or family member phone for you. Also, please let us know the name you are listed under at the hospital, as often this is not the name we know you by. Second, when you register at the hospital, please have them record that you are a member of National Avenue Christian Church. We care about you and we want to be there for you during your hospitalization.
Congratulations . . . to grandparents Bob & Jonna Woosley on the birth of their first grandchild, Eleanor Rose, on June 30. The parents are Jonathan & Mary Woosley of Bolivar and the great-grandmother is Helen Woosley.

VBS WAS A HUGE SUCCESS!
Thank you so much to all of the adults and youth who helped with Vacation Bible School. Whether you brought in paper towel rolls, cut apples, or worked with the children, we couldn’t have done it without you. Also, thanks to everyone who helped us collect money for our mission project. We collected $110.00, which is enough money to purchase and send eleven mosquito nets to families in sub-Saharan Africa. Thanks, Robyn Hagerman, VBS Coordinator
