National Avenue Christian Church has a well-earned reputation for leadership in social justice ministries in Springfield and among the Disciples of Christ.  We are broadly recognized for our commitment to excellence in worship.  However, if the church is indeed to be the body of Christ, we must do more than faithfully serve the downtrodden in society and gather in inspiring sacramental worship . . . we must also love one another.

As St. John of the Cross has said, we may pass every other test of faith, but if we fail to pass the love test, we have failed entirely.
