Children´s Sermon and Kid´s Chapel

Children´s Sermon

During the Sunday morning worship service, the children present in the sanctuary are invited to the chancel to participate in a short lesson, usually based on the text for the day. Adults often find this message to be a beneficial introduction to the pastor´s sermon!

Kid´s Chapel

Kid’s Chapel meets during Sunday morning worship in the former preschool classrooms on the first floor across from the Nursery. Preschool through fourth grade children leave worship after the Children´s Sermon to experience a time of worship and learning with one another. During this time, children are divided into age-specified groups and have a brief Bible lesson and activity. Children learn about the church´s liturgical season and follow the curriculum, Rock Solid, which includes exploring images, practices, and the Word through stories. Together, children learn about God´s love and are affirmed that they are a part of God´s creation.

Kid´s Chapel is under the leadership of Heather Luellen.
